We had a great day today with the National Trust for Scotland's Lothian conservation volunteers who came out to help us with our gorse bashing. Behind them you can see the enormous mountain of gorse which they cut down and dragged to our fire site. Normally there are only two of us who work on practical tasks, so having 11 people makes an enormous difference in the amount of work we can get done.
