Minke whales about!
Minke whales were spotted off Coldingham Bay yesterday! Here is a photo of one so you know what to look out for. They have a distinctive dorsal fin situated nearly two thirds along their back.
I was at Coldingham Bay on Fri 30th dec 2011, standing on Milldown Point when I saw a Minke whale breaking the surface, i watched it for about an hour. I think there was only 1 but there might have been 2.
